Mike Hamilton and Elise McClay recently returned from a trip to Listuguj, QC to meet with their collaborators at the Listuguj Education Directorate. Mike consulted with some speakers of Mi’gmaq about topics varying from Long Distance Agreement to quantifier scope, and also ran 15 participating speakers on an experiment concerning Mi’gmaq prosody. Elise set up three of our core collaborators with accounts on our shared Mi’gmaq LingSync database (lingsync.org), and provided tutorials showing how to use the application.
They were also lucky enough to get to learn some new words from the very enthusiastic young teachers in the picture below! Wela’lieg, ms’twen!
