McLing is happy to welcome Kanontienéntha’ Brass to the Ad Hoc MA program in Indigenous Language Revitalization. Kanontienéntha’ completed her BA in CogSci and Linguistics in 2020, and will be doing course work in both Linguistics and Education for her MA.
“My name is Kanontienénhtha’ Brass and I am a first MA student in Indigenous Language Revitalization. I recently completed a two-adult immersion program in my home community of Kahnawake, where I studied full-time to increase my language proficiency in Kanien’kéha. Although I am sad that the immersion program is over, I’m excited to be back at McGill after a three-year break. Niá:wen!”
