McLing is pleased to welcome Andrei Munteau as a Faculty Lecturer in Phonetics this year!

“I work on phonology, phonetics, and historical linguistics. More specifically, I am interested in ways to quantitatively evaluate comparative reconstructions, homophony avoidance, and prosody. I was born in Chisinau, Moldova, but spent most of my life in Toronto, where I defended my PhD. In my spare time, I enjoy playing chess, reading classical literature, and coming up with lists of three.”

Welcome Andrei!
