Ella Martindale has recently (re)joined McGill as the Administrative Coordinator for the Mellon-funded Indigenous Studies and Community Engagement Initiative, currently directed by Jessica Coon. She will have an office in the Indigenous Studies Program in MISC, but also be spending time in the Linguistics Department working with Jessica.
Ella is Quw’ustun and grew up on Nisga’a and Tsimshian territories in Northern BC. She studied Anthropology and Indigenous Studies at McGill and graduated in Spring 2019. She is excited to be working at McGill to better Indigenous community life and support the growth of the Indigenous Studies program.
