Canada received 3 medals–1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze–in 2014 International Linguistics Olympiad, held this summer in Beijing, China. The North American team, NACLO, included 2009 McGill PhD, Coach (aka Prof) Heather Newell. McGill hosted training sessions earlier this year, and Canadian competitor Daniel Lovsted will be entering McGill as an undergraduate this fall!
