The 15th edition of the Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal Semantics Workshop, an annual event showcasing students’ research in semantics and related areas, was hosted by the Department of Linguistics at Université du Québec à Montréal on April 27. This year’s program included three presentations by McGill students:

  • Han Yao: Mandarin Chinese mou indefinites
  • Jonathan Palucci: Tensed clauses as scope islands
  • Bernardas Jurevicius: Cross-domain constraints on because-clause readings
