GLAM event, 1/31 — Ice skating + pizza

GLAM kicked off the new term with a winter outing that brought together new arrivals and returning members of the Department for an afternoon of skating and pizza in downtown Montreal on January 31st. Everyone laced up their skates and enjoyed the crisp January air at Esplanade Tranquille. Check out the photos below! After skating, the group headed to Le Central for a well-earned pizza dinner. It was a great opportunity to welcome Myriam to the department, reconnect after the break, and catch up outside of classes and meetings.

A group of McGill students and professors braved the cold for a fun afternoon of skating at the Esplanade Tranquille! Tony showed off some cool figure skating and Meghan shared her hockey techniques while the rest of us learned to make our way around the rink faster and more confidently. Then we all warmed up with delicious pizza at Le Central. Photos by Laurestine 📸
