McLing would like to belatedly welcome Eva Portelance back to the Linguistics department! Eva is a postdoctoral researcher working with Tim O’Donnell and Siva Reddy through December 2024.
I study how both humans and machines learn to understand language and reason with it. I did my PhD in California where I lived for 6 years, but before that I was an undergrad in this very department! I grew up in Montreal and am very happy to be back in the city and at McGill.
